Pesach Appeal 2009

This Pesach, Jews around the world have endured some of the worst antisemitism we have seen since Nazi Germany. We have also seen a rise in Islamic extremism. Much of this Jew hatred and extremism is fueled by dangerous trends found online in places like Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Myspace and even Yahoo financial forums.

Ideas found online manifest into real-world violence:

  • Around the world, synagogues around the world have been attacked and targeted by our enemies
  • Phrases like: Jews "go back to the ovens" and "Hitler should have finished the job" have been heard at demonstrations throughout the world
  • A 24-year-old stalker who attempted to kidnap Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel in 2007 admitted he had been "sucked into antisemitic conspiracy theories on the internet."

The vigilance required to combat these trends depends upon your supportWe need it

The JIDF is the only Jewish organization specifically dedicated to leading the fight against antisemitism and terrorism on the web, coordinating concerned citizens around the globe, and promoting Jewish pride, knowledge and unity:

  • We identify and expose the haters of Jews 24 hours a day, six days a week
  • We find online content that promotes hatred and terrorism and inspire thousands of activists to report it
  • We work directly with the ISP's, making sure they take action against antisemitic and jihadist online content
  • We inspire our activists to write letters to the government, law enforcement, and the media
  • We train and educate thousands to replicate our efforts
  • We provide constant news and information about Israel, Jewish issues and other stories of interest

Now more than ever, we need your support. Even as little as $5 a month goes a long way.

One of the many problems with Jewish advocacy is that "fundraising" becomes a job in and of itself, which then diverts attention from the real matters at hand. We are, first and foremost, ACTIVISTS, not fundraisers, so we hate to even have to ask for money. However, every bit helps for us to continue this vital work.

You can count on the JIDF to continue doing our job. Can we count on you?
