Facebook and Myspace App Issues Simplified (now, with less hysteria!)

Facebook applications are big business. Here is a breakdown of the top 20 Facebook application developers or networks:

As you can see, Project Agape is #17 and Frozen Bear is #18.

The problem with Project Agape is that they have a "Causes" application which does not (at the time of this post) allow anyone in Israel to donate to any of the 10's of thousands of causes which are on their system. However, they DID allow (they recently deleted it) people who were in a fictional country of "Palestine" to donate to the causes:
You can learn more details and read the JIDF ranting here, and there are a slew of other places with which to kvetch:

Report the Causes app to Facebook. Write to both info@facebook.com, support@causes.com

The "Causes" app is also an issue on Mypsace, so report it here!!

Also to contact "Network for Good": http://www.networkforgood.org/about/contact.aspx

And a list of all those involved with Project Agape and Causes:

Co-founded by Sean Parker and Joseph Green

Christopher Chan
Jimmy Kittiyachavalit
Kristján F'jord Pétursson
Randall Winston
Susan Gordon
Matt Mahan
Shari Lim
Jill Haberkern

The issue with the "Armies" application, developed by Frozen Bear, is that first of all, it is buggy and the people currently in leadership positions are there because of a flaw in their system. Secondly (and more importantly,) is that there is a SLEW of teams which promote terrorism and Islamic Jihad:

Both Zygna and SGN (see list) had Armies on their network, but recently took it off, due to the JIDF's effort. Please contact Frozen Bear directly to find out if and when they ever plan on discontinuing their promotion and celebration of Islamic Jihad and terrorism. Thank you!
