Recently, as we have noted, the JIDF Wikipedia article was vandalized with flags of jihad and even swastikas. We felt the case was handled very poorly by the young Wikipedia administrator from Morocco, named Fayssal. We also have discussed how the Wikipedia article about the JIDF is currently being ruined by another young Moroccan by the name of Opiumjones 23.
Two things strike us as peculiar:
- As one can see here, the very first edit to Opiumjones 23's userpage was done by Fayssal
- Upon viewing Fayssal's user history on Wikipedia, we stumbled upon him spewing the following ignorance:
There are reasons why Sephardic Jews, Arab Christians and Muslims don't use the term ''Anti-semitism''. First, it is because the term is zionist...Interestingly, the JIDF has members who are sephardic Jews, Arab Christians and even Muslims among us who have no qualm using that term and who understand its meaning fully.
We wish we could say it gets better, but it doesn't. Fayssal then encourages people to visit a known antisemitic conspiracy theory site:
At the end, I invite anyone concerned in this discussion of ''rejected'' section, to read this link http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/atastj.html 17:26, May 14, 2005 (UTC) [[User talk:Fayssal|Wiki me up™]]According to Source Watch, the conspiracy site "whatreallyhappened.com" has linked to the following in the past:
Our question to you, dear reader, is- does this Fayssal character really seem to be the most well-equipped to deal with serious vandalizing issues with regard to antisemitism?
- Holocaust Revisionism in One Easy Lesson linked to on December 14, 2006, which claims that: Auschwitz was not a 'death camp', as alleged at the trials, but a large industrial complex in Poland... Jewish population numbers published in standard reference works both before and after the war do not show a decrease of Jewish numbers, but rather an INCREASE. These reference works also demonstrate that THERE WERE NOT EVEN SIX MILLION JEWS IN NAZI-OCCUPIED EUROPE DURING THE PERIOD."
- On December 11, 2006 they linked to Dare to Differ - Holocaust ‘Deniers’ Unite, with an added comment: "I really hate the phrase "holocaust denier". "Holocaust examiner" or "Holocaust researcher" is really much more accurate. - M. R."
- On October 29, 2006 they linked to A Holocaust Revisionist Critique of the Thinking of Deborah Lipstadt on CODOH.COM which carries articles by Robert_Faurisson, [4] David Irving], Fred A. Leuchter and Ernst Zündel amongst it's authors
- On May 19, 2006 and February 21, 2006, they linked to an article hidden by Thunderbay IMC "due to it's racist and anti-semetic content". The article subtitled "No Evidence Of Genocide", is a chapter from 'Did Six Million Really Die?' foreword by Robert Faurisson.
- On July 27, 2003 they linked to Institute for Historical Review
We think not. We are sure there are other questionable things this individual has sad and done. While we can appreciate that he has a different POV, we feel he has not acted fairly with regard to the antisemitism found on Wikipedia on the article about us especially.
