Honest Reporting's Internet Activism Guide + a Statement about Donations

We were pleased to see HonestReporting publish a colorful Internet Activism Guide PDF, which you may download from their blog here. While JIDF members and supporters are generally an extremely web-savvy group, we fully support this effort and hope our members and supporters will help distribute this guide to folks who might benefit. For example, our parents and grandparents.

This demographic is an untapped resource in our struggle. Many of them are retired (or entering upon retirement) and have the time to do their banking, send some emails here and there, and play games online, but are they doing all they can do for Israel and the Jewish people?

We hope so. Please share the HonestReporting guide to those who need it. If they don't have the time, energy or desire to take part in these important online issues, urge them to at least support the organizations that do.

The Jewish Internet Defense Force encourages more donations in order to keep our activism strong. While we have been influential in removing hundreds of hateful Facebook groups and YouTube Channels, impacting hundreds of thousands of Jew haters and Jihadists, we have also chased the them off of Blogger, Digg, Wikipedia, PayPal, LiveVideo, Ning, and wherever they might be found online (and they are everywhere!) We are in touch with senior corporate officers and legal departments of companies like Google and Facebook in our coordinated effort to get them to do more about the problems we face. Our Guide to Problematic YouTube Channels and Guide to Hostile Facebook Groups are the most comprehensive lists of their kind to be found anywhere online, and we have encouraged thousands of people to write thousands of emails to the media and to companies who need to do more about these issues.

There is also a lot that happens behind-the-scenes at the JIDF which does not get reported, but the hypervigilance against online hatred and support for terrorism never ceases. We have learned the lessons of our history and we refuse to let this hateful propaganda spread without a fight.

Our effort encompasses the entire internet and it requires a lot of time, dedication, and coordination of thousands of people. We have many more ideas in the mix in order to increase our effectiveness even more, but this cannot happen without help from people like you. For example, we'd love to start producing videos about the problems online, publishing detailed reports, hiring a paid staff, revamping our website, etc., but again, all of this could happen much sooner if more people were inspired to donate and help.

Therefore, please consider making a donation today!

Also, our site is available for advertisers. Contact us today if this might be of interest and we can see if we can help meet your advertising needs.

Thank you!
