Hello,

We have seen your work on Twitter and the article in which you were featured in the GA Magazine in November and would like to invite you to speak at our annual conference.

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs Plenum will be in Washington, DC, February 28-March 3. I am wondering if someone from your organization would be able to speak at an Israel Advocacy workshop about your work. The workshop will be about utilizing web 2.0 for Israel advocacy, why it is important, and how and why communities across the country should get on board.

The specific workshop will take place on Sunday, March 1, from 3:45-5:00.

Please be in touch by email or at ******.

We hope you will join us.

Thank you,
Martine Katz

While we should be honored, we wish they considered our stances before sending us the invite, as they apparently did not see our criticism of last year's JCPA conference, where they officially endorsed the two-state illusion for some reason (after the miserable failure of the disengagement, the election of Hamas, and while rockets were bombarding Israel.)

We just didn't get it. Here was the gist of our quick response to the JCPA.
Dear Martine,

Thank you very much for your interest in the Jewish Internet Defense Force (JIDF).

How exactly does that work? Does the JCPA cover airfare and hotel accommodations?

Furthermore, the only way we could possibly appear is if the JCPA reversed its official endorsement of the two-state illusion it made at last year's conference:

http://www.thejidf.org/2008/02/jcpa-endorses-two-state-solution.html

We're still bewildered as to how or why the JCPA would take such a position (especially after Hamas was brought into power and the miserable failure of the disengagement?!?)

We would be very happy to help mainstream Jewish establishment organizations get with the picture online, but not in order to promote or endorse insanity.

Upon further investigation we learned that the following person will be there to speak:

Imam Mohamed Magid
Imam Magid
VP of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)

Hmmm. We guess the JCPA missed the news that ISNA admitted Hamas ties:

We have chronicled the financial ties between ISNA/NAIT and Hamas several times, including during the first trial against HLF:

Exhibits entered into evidence a few days ago at the HLF trial include an expense voucher from the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), an ISNA subsidiary, made out for $10,000 in the name of Musa Abu Marzook, as well as a check drawn on a NAIT account in the same amount made out to Marzook. Another check for $10,000 on the same account was made out to Marzook's wife, Nadia Elashi. Another check for $30,000 was made out to the Islamic University of Gaza (and has Shukri Abu Baker/OLF written on the memo line), a school long known to be controlled by HAMAS, and which counted such notables as former HAMAS leader Dr. Abdel Aziz Rantissi and current HAMAS leader Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahar as professors, and the recently deposed HAMAS Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh is a former dean of the University.

That is NAIT/ISNA money going to a top Hamas official, his wife, and a university controlled by Hamas. So the lawyers for ISNA and NAIT are admitting that both groups supported Hamas financially in the late 80's and early 90's, which, at a minimum, destroys ISNA's contention that the group has no ties to Hamas, let alone the Muslim Brotherhood.

Terrorism expert Steven Emerson, who has testified before Congress more than a dozen times about these issues once stated:
“I think ISNA has been an umbrella, also a promoter of groups that have been involved in terrorism. I am not going to accuse the ISNA of being directly involved in terrorism. I will say ISNA has sponsored extremists, racists, people who call for Jihad against the United States.”
That said, between the JCPA officially endorsing and promoting two-state insanity AND allowing someone from ISNA to speak, the JIDF will not be appearing (unless, the JCPA reverses its prior endorsement, dis-invites the ISNA rep, and covers our expenses.)

While many of our friends have advised us to "play the game" - we feel that dealing with terrorists and endorsing the idea of giving them their own state is too dangerous of a game for us to play. It's an outright shame that the Jewish establishment continues to play it.
