Dershowitz Confronts Holocaust Denial on Facebook

As most of you know, despite our mass campaign against Holocaust denial on Facebook, which received international press coverage, and thousands of activists writing thousands of letters, and despite Facebook's fake claims of "transparency" and that they have discussed these issues with unnamed "experts," despite Zuckerberg's lack of chutzpah to even address the issue, and all their other bizarre rationalizations ("free speech") for the presence of hateful content on their servers which is against their own TOS, Facebook has refused to do the right thing.

Their positions are on these matters are packed with double standards and hypocrisy.

It shouldn't take an expert to tell us which way the wind blows.

However, Professor Alan M. Dershowitz, who is one of the America's “most distinguished defenders of individual rights,” “the best-known criminal lawyer in the world," the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, and who has published more than 100 articles in magazines and journals, is syndicated in 50 national daily newspapers, and author of 27 fiction and non-fiction works with a worldwide audience stated:

You are absolutely correct that Holocaust denial is hate speech. There are no Holocaust deniers who are not blatant antiSemites. Every Holocaust denial website also features antiSemitism. You are also right that transparency is the key. If Facebook took the position that it censors nothing, that would be one thing. But to espouse the substantive position that Holocaust denial is not hate speech is very dangerous and unacceptable.
