Shana Tova! Latest email/Update

Dear Activists:

Thanks to many of you, the 'Tweet4Shalit' campaign was a roaring success. Together we are accomplishing ground-breaking things online! We know that you like to stay in the loop, so here's the latest international news featuring the JIDF:

Institute for Global Jewish Affairs - September 15, 2009
Jerusalem Post - Aug 28, 2009
The New York Jewish Week - Aug 25 2009
AISH - Aug 23, 2009
Israel National News - Aug 5, 2009
Jerusalem Post - Aug 1, 2009
Jerusalem Post - July 29, 2009
BBC - June 22, 2009
The National (UAE) - June 14, 2009

More developments:
  • The JIDF started a radio show which you can hear on the JIDF website (left-hand side). At this point, it's raw, but we hope to improve soon. After just 5 informative episodes, Debbie Schlussel has agreed to be a guest! When asked to do the show, she said, "Normally I don't do these online shows. But for you, yes." So, it's a huge honor, and we will keep you posted as to when this will happen.
  • The JIDF site will soon be featured on the following Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland websites: and - as we will be coordinating more campaigns with them in the near future.

  • The JIDF is growing rapidly. The miracle is that so much of this has been done without much money at all. We don't see any well-funded, well-staffed organizations doing anything at the level the JIDF has done. With proper funding, we have ideas to explore which would seriously change the future of Jewish advocacy as we know it
To those who have supported the JIDF with a financial contribution, we sincerely appreciate it and apologize if we have not adequately thanked you. You can rest assured that your money is being put to good use in the pro-Israel battle against antisemitism and terrorism. If you would like a "special thanks" and to be listed here as a contributor, please let us know.

In the meantime, it is necessary for us to raise more funds in order to keep the JIDF alive. We are striving to bring in $5000/month to cover operating costs and to expand programs and campaigns. Currently, we are lucky if we raise 10% of that. Thus, even $5/month (17 cents per day) from enough people would go a long way. Please don't think that the amount you are able to give is too insignificant to make a difference! If you can help by making a monthly donation (or by increasing what you're already giving), please click the following link: SUPPORT THE JIDF (or by clicking the options at the bottom of this email).

Thank you and L'Shana Tova!
