Are settlements the issue?

No. So long as Islamic and Arab children are being raised to hate and kill Jews and wipe out israel, one of the few things we can do to provide a barrier of defense and to extinguish their hope of extinguishing us, is to continue building and expanding. Anytime we succumb to their demands, it only fuels their hope for our absolute destruction. Any time the onus of responsibility is on Israel as opposed to the terrorists, it has the same effect. The problem is not the settlements. So long as people continue thinking they are the problem (as opposed to addressing the real problems), we shouldn't lend any credence to that flawed thinking. By advocating the cessation or destruction of settlements, we lend credibility to the arguments that they are an obstacle to peace. They are not. The absolute hatred and promotion of violence taught throughout the Arab/Muslim media, schools, mosques, etc. is the problem - and it's the same problem in many other areas of the world, mind you, not just Israel. Hence, Jewish settlements are not to blame and shouldn't even be on the table until the hatred and violence promoted throughout the Arab and Muslim world is fully addressed.
