CALGARY: Swastika spraypainted on school (again)

Police are investigating a second case of anti-Semitic graffiti at Sundance School in as many months.

Students and staff made the disturbing discovery Tuesday at the southeast school that has been victimized in the past that had been left by vandals sometime overnight, said CBE spokesman Ted Flitton.

“There was a very crudely drawn swastika and ‘SS’,” he said.

“It’s offensive and extremely hurtful.”

He said the students didn’t seem to understand the meaning behind the vandalism but the CBE is very upset it happened.

Police were called and are now investigating and the markings were to be removed Tuesday.

He said it is also disturbing the school has been hit again.

“It doesn’t matter how many times, these symbols represent a deep hate,” he said.

“It’s offensive to all people.”

It’s not the first time the school has been defaced with vandalism.

In November, anti-Semitic graffiti slogans were found spray-painted on Sundance School as well as MidSun School.
