Twitter Alert! Nominate @JIDF for #ShortyAward in #Politics and #NonProfit Categories!

In case you know about the Shorty Awards, the NY Times says, "Hollywood has the Oscars. Broadway has the Tonys. Now Twitter has the...Shorty Awards."

We're proud to say that while most of the other nominees have been getting votes for the past week, we started less than 24 hours ago, and we're already in 6th place in #politicson the leaderboard!

Three others ahead of us (the Nation, Alternet, and Mother Jones) are extremely left wing, anti-American, and anti-Israel.

We only need 70 more tweets to be in the #1 spot!

The better we do in contests like this, the more people are learning about our work and about the problems we're fighting!

So if you're on Twitter, please simply do the following (for both #nonprofit and #politics categories):
  • To vote, send a tweet like this: I nominate @JIDF for a Shorty Award in #politics (or #nonprofit) because... (add reason here). You can do this on, with any Twitter client, or using the voting box on their site
  • You can also send shorter votes like this: #shortyawards @username #category (add quick reason here).
  • Be as creative as you want with the reason
