First of all, we hope everyone is having a happy and safe Independence Day. Unfortunately, we've been so busy documenting dangerous trends of people who wish to murder Jews, that we haven't had a chance to do a nice 4th of July post.  So, we're squeezing it in, here. Happy Fourth of July!  There.

Now, as you can see by our detailed posts In the past week, we have seen a dramatic rise in Jew hatred and the incitement to murder Jews on Facebook:
The reason why these groups go back up as soon as they are taken down is because Facebook is not proactively determined to do anything about this problem, and they are not permanently banning the people behind, or involved with, the groups!  Meanwhile, Jewish activists like the founder of the JIDF have been banned from Facebook.  Why are Jewish activists singled out by Facebook, as Jew haters get a free pass?  Is Facebook being negligent in order to generate more traffic ?

Here are profiles you should report:
These are the latest groups which need reporting:
You must be logged into Facebook in order to view a lot of this content and must be logged in to report it.  If and when the material is removed, please let us know by contacting us or commenting, below.  And remember, this is just a small sampling of the amount of problems there are online.

On another note, there are many bloggers out who are stealing bits and pieces of our ACTION ALERTS and not citing us as the source.  They are doing their readers a serious disservice, as, not to brag, but no one is more on top of these issues than we are (as you can see by our detailed work, above, and all over this site).  This is primarily the work which we have been doing.  We're not in this business to create one sensationalistic headline to upset you and then not bother to update you about the work we try to inspire you to do.  Thus, if you share information about the groups we tell you about, please make sure to tell people to come to our site for the most comprehensive and updated information.

The bloggers who aren't updating their readers about the comings and goings of this material are fostering a lot of confusion, and a lot of people are telling each other to report content which has already disappeared, and thus, they are missing opportunities to report the new material.  Meanwhile, we are trying to do things in a coordinated fashion.  It would be great if our readers and others in the blogosphere could help in this regard, by simply stating that all the latest and comprehensive information on these groups can be found here, on our site.  Also, it's very important to SHARE our material widely:  email the link to this page, share it in your Facebook profiles, click the "recommend" button, tweet it out, blog about it (but tell people to come here for the latest information!)

Again, these are dangerous trends we've been covering for years.  Facebook's response (or lack thereof) is abhorrent.  They refuse to be proactive on these issues and even took a strong stand in favor of Holocaust denial on their platform.  This is directly thanks to Mark Zuckerberg, who, as we reported in April 2008, thinks that Facebook should not be proactive on antisemitism:
Recently Shimon Peres suggested that Israelis and Jews worldwide use Facebook to fight anti-semitism in addition to inviting Mark Zuckerberg to Israel. I asked him about his thoughts on Facebook as a tool to fight anti-semitism and if Facebook would take proactive measures to fight against it. Mark believes that Facebook needs to focus on building useful communication tools and that the users can use these tools to connect and generate more worldly perspectives. As such Facebook does not need to be proactive about it. .
Why can't Facebook be more proactive about it?  Why can't they hire a guy and pay him $10 an hour to do searches for "kill Jews" so they can remove the material quickly?  Facebook needs to take more proactive measures (ie. deactivating accounts responsible for, and taking part, in, this material). Facebook must implement IP bans on people involved in such material.  We must work to get law enforcement involved, Facebook should be subpoenaed, the IP's of the people threatening and inciting violence should be obtained, and legal action should be immediately pursued. Finally, Jewish activists who are leading the fight against this material should be allowed to work on Facebook while maintaining their privacy, safety, and security.  If you agree, join this group.
