ACTION ALERT: Report "KILL THE JEWS" Facebook Group

Though the defense of the Jewish people and Israel online is only limited by the severe lack of time, resources, and funds, the activities of our enemies never cease.

As we have been pointing out, Facebook is negligent in proactively removing material that clearly incites hatred and murder of Jews. For years, Facebook didn't respond to thousands of JIDF supporters reporting such content. We stuck at it though. Our plan was to garner international media attention to spotlight these issues and to launch hundreds of ACTION ALERTS over the years. Because of this effort, Facebook now responds fairly quickly to such blatant TOS violations, such as this "KILL THE JEWS!" group (Which we urge your to report. If the page just goes to your Facebook homepage, that means we've been successful, yet again, in getting Facebook to enforce its rules against hatred and violence. Perhaps we even averted a crime. A murder. Or murders for that matter).

In case the group is gone by the time you read this, we have taken screencaps of the group, its content, and the list of its 29 members. Some might claim, "y'know, it's only 29 people. Not such a large group!" But that's 29 people who wish to murder Jews. As history has taught us (over and over again), when people talk about killing Jews, they mean it.

As you investigate the group (see cap of the group, here, and the list of its members, here), we urge you to have a look at the names of the members. As you will see, most of them appear to have Islamic names. If you visit their profiles many claim that their faith is Islam. Considering that hatred and murder of Jews is incited and celebrated within Islam, throughout the Koran, Hadith and other Islamic literature, it makes sense that many of its followers are interested in the murder of Jews.

Why do Facebook groups like this get to be created, while groups which celebrate life, Jews, and Israel get censored? Facebook will probably react to the aforementioned group which openly advocates murder, though they have yet to answer thousands of emails asking why Facebook is censoring the "Jews" page.

The lives of Jews are important in any realm. Online Jewish communities are as important as offline Jewish communities. There's a double standard when Facebook will take action against a "kill Jews" group while simultaneously slaughtering thriving Jewish communities of hundreds of thousands of Jews on its platform.

As is the case with all our ACTION ALERTS, this is merely a small sample of the problems online. At worst, we've been responsible for the removal of thousands of pages and videos which promote hatred and murder of Jews. However, if you study history, you know that this type of propaganda is what leads to great Jewish tragedies. We feel we're in the business of trying to prevent them. A type of "canary in the coal mine of civilization." It's impossible to say for sure, but perhaps one person was less inspired to murder Jews and even Jewish lives are saved through this effort.

There's still so much work to do. But we need your help. Please support this effort to help us keep up the good fight.
